David Aldrich is Managing Director, Head of Emerging Markets, for both Regional Management and Relationship Management, Moody’s Ratings, EMEA. David also has global responsibility for Sovereign and Supranational relationships. In respect of his Commercial Group responsibilities, he leads and manages the origination and retention of ratings mandates for financial institutions, corporates, sub-sovereigns and local governments, specifically in Russia & CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. David, in his Regional Management capacity, drives the Emerging Markets strategy for MIS within EMEA, including managing the respective Country Managers.
David has managed businesses in securities services, fixed income and derivatives at BNY Mellon, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse and UBS.
Immediately prior to joining Moody’s in 2013, David worked at BNY Mellon for just under ten years in a variety of senior management positions, most recently as Head of Strategy, EMEA. Previous roles within BNY Mellon included Head of UK &Ireland Global Client Management, Head of Alternative Investment Services EMEA, and Head of Securities Industry Banking Europe.
David studied Economics at the University of Kent and sits on the MBA Advisory Board at Cass Business School, City University London.
